The various impacts humans have on the environment are common knowledge at this point, but what a lot of people don't know is the permanence of their actions. Recovering from future effects, and many of the impacts we've already seen, will be far more difficult than many people realize. For example, the Amazon Rainforest. The wildfires and deforestation in the amazon are broadcasted on all sorts of media platforms. But, recovering from this is far from simply planting a few more trees. There are over forty-thousand different plant species in the amazon, and over two-thousand different species of animals. According to the site New Scientist; it will take roughly sixty-five years for certain aspects to recover, and it will take upwards of four-thousand years for the landscape to revert back to it's native state. I do not think it will personally do anything. Mike Pence will be in charge in replacement of Donald Trump. Mike Pence has the same political views. In my personal opinion I feel the republican party will be more respected. It is a lesser of two evils.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great point! In politics, it is extremely hard to make evident changes. Even the impeachment of Donald Trump won't delay or fix many of the U.S.'s major problems. Issues like immigration, and policy change are exceedingly hard to influence and implement. Impeachment is only a fraction of the changes the public could implement with enough influence.
DeleteAs of this Tuesday the democrats announced what Donald Trump will be charged with. The crimes are abuse of power and obstruction of congress. There will be hearings on this as early as next week. I think that he will be impeached by Christmas.
